ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Jaclyn

Jaclyn is a young public servant with a lifelong passion for government and a deep belief in the power of local leadership to strengthen communities. A Democrat guided by the values of fairness, accountability, and opportunity for all, her commitment to public service began early and has only grown through years of hands-on engagement and grassroots work in government and policy.

A graduate of Ball State University with a double major in Legal Studies and Political Science, Jaclyn built a strong foundation in the practical and legal workings of government. While still in high school, she completed a Congressional internship that solidified her interest in public service and shaped her understanding of how responsive, accountable government can directly improve people’s lives. During college, she completed an internship in Washington, D.C., that inspired her to run for office and expanded her knowledge of government.

After college, Jaclyn carried that passion into her professional career, working full time in the legal field before transitioning into nonprofit and public policy work. In her career, she has played an active role in government affairs—supporting lobbying and advocacy efforts at the Statehouse—and managed multiple campaigns through nonpartisan PACs focused on electing effective leaders to the Indiana General Assembly. This experience gave her firsthand insight into navigating legislation, building coalitions, and turning community priorities into real policy outcomes through grassroots activism.

Beyond her professional work, Jaclyn is deeply committed to serving her community. She is an active volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, a mentor with Starfish Initiative, and has dedicated her time to a range of organizations—from humane shelters to hospice care. Her service reflects a core belief that strong communities are built through compassion, presence, and action.

Now a homeowner in Indianapolis, Jaclyn is deeply engaged in her neighborhood and wants to give back to her community. She brings both experience and energy to everything she does, guided by the belief that government works best when it is accessible, accountable, and rooted in the community it serves. Jaclyn is running for City-County Council to put her experience to work locally—listening, leading, and delivering meaningful results for the neighborhoods she calls home.
